Horseshoe motif
Since ancient times horseshoe has been believe to be a lucky charm and a symbol of protection from evil. The roots of this belief go back to a middle ages legend about a blacksmith named Dunstan who attached horseshoes to a horse, but that horse was actually the devil in disguise. The nails caused the devil excruciating pain and he begged Dunstan to remove them. Dunstan made the devil promise that he will never enter a house that displayed a horseshoe and that's how the horseshoe symbol came to being.Star Motif
